Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECE Assistant to join our team at Blueridge Preschool Ltd. As an integral part of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the early childhood educators in delivering high-quality programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Early Childhood Educators: Collaborate with experienced educators to design and implement engaging activities that foster children's growth and learning.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress, including observations, assessments, and daily reports.
  • Engage Children: Develop creative lesson plans that incorporate storytelling, songs, and crafts to stimulate children's curiosity and imagination.
  • Staff Meetings: Participate in regular meetings with the team to discuss children's progress, share best practices, and address any challenges or concerns.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A college diploma or CEGEP certificate from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year;
  • Experience in early childhood education, although not essential, is an asset;
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and parents;
  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality care and education to young children;
