Job Summary

Arctic Glacier Inc is seeking a skilled Production Labourer/Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of our manufacturing equipment.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to resolve equipment issues.
  • Adhere to a culture of cleanliness and safety in the work environment.
  • Monitor and record equipment performance, including temperature and pressure readings.
  • Coordinate the movement of products from production lines to storage areas.
  • Inspect products for quality and ensure compliance with food safety handling procedures.
  • Record daily logs of production data, including packages, bags, and wasted packaging material.
  • Lead the starting and shutting down of ice machines each day.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Experience in a plant maintenance or production Labourer role, preferably in maintaining food packaging equipment.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 40lbs repeatedly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Class 4 or 5 Power Engineering certification is an asset.
