Job Summary

Clintar is seeking a skilled Salt Truck Driver to join our ice and snow management team for the Winter Season. As a Salt Truck Driver, you will be responsible for efficiently clearing and de-icing commercial, industrial, and institutional properties. This is a seasonal, on-call position that requires availability 24/7, including holidays and overnight shifts. If you have a valid G class driver's license and previous experience with salt trucks and snow removal equipment, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a salt truck to apply salt on parking lots and paved areas
  • Respond to emergency calls for snow removal and de-icing during heavy snowfalls or severe weather conditions
  • Maintain clean sites and ensure no property damage during snow removal
  • Accurately read site maps and route books
  • Communicate with supervisors or dispatch to report road conditions, progress, and any issues encountered
  • Input daily accurate timesheets into your mobile device (LMN)
  • Work in challenging weather conditions, including cold temperatures, snowstorms, and potentially at night

Requirements

  • Valid G class driver's license
  • Previous experience with salt trucks and snow removal equipment
  • Ability to work on-call 24/7, including holidays and overnight shifts
  • Safe operation of equipment and adherence to health and safety regulations

Compensation and Bonus

  • $25 to $30 an hour (hourly rate based on experience)
  • Bonus for referring a friend with perfect attendance at the end of the Winter Season
  • Extra $$ Bonus for working over holidays
