Job Summary

Clintar is seeking a skilled Salt Truck Driver to join our team for the Winter Season. As a key member of our ice and snow management team, you will be responsible for efficiently clearing and de-icing commercial, industrial, and institutional properties. This is a seasonal, on-call position that requires availability 24/7, including holidays. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a valid G-class driver's license, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a salt truck safely and efficiently on parking lots and paved areas
  • Respond to emergency calls for applying salt, especially during heavy snowfalls or severe weather conditions
  • Maintain clean sites, ensuring no property damage during snow removal
  • Accurately read site maps and route books
  • Maintain communication with supervisors or dispatch to report road conditions, progress, and any issues encountered
  • Responsible for inputting daily accurate timesheets into your mobile device (LMN)
  • Work in challenging weather conditions, including cold temperatures, snowstorms, and potentially at night, to ensure timely snow removal
  • Previous experience with salt truck and operating snow removal equipment is an asset
Requirements
  • Valid and clean G-class driver's license
  • Previous experience with salt truck and operating snow removal equipment
  • Ability to work in challenging weather conditions
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
