As a key member of the University Health Network team, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory and pricing prescription and non-prescription items for our multi-site outpatient pharmacies.

Role Overview

This role is part of our Pharmacy team at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, where we strive to provide exceptional patient care and customer service. You will work closely with our pharmacy staff to ensure efficient ordering, receiving, and merchandising processes.

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual who can prioritize tasks effectively and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain responsibility for ordering, receiving, and pricing prescription and non-prescription items for multi-site outpatient pharmacies.
  • Perform merchandising and cashier functions.
  • Organize revenue-generating promotions to attract customer interest.
  • Coordinate the return of stale-dated merchandise and other products; communicate with other Pharmacy personnel.
  • Perform technical functions in support of the Pharmacy.
  • Perform cross-functional duties within scope of authority.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or recognized equivalent.
  • One (1) year related merchandising experience preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Six months technical experience in a retail/community Pharmacy; preferred.
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Very good interpersonal skills.
  • Very good organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Pharmacy operations, practices, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation (Health Professions Regulations Act, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) requirements.
  • Compliance with established confidentiality requirements.
  • Satisfactory attendance.

Estimated salary: $22-$28 per hour based on location and experience.
