Job Summary

We seek a highly skilled Forensic Structural Engineer to join our team of experts in Canada. As a mid-level forensic engineer, you will conduct forensic investigations, provide consultation, prepare and deliver technical papers, and serve as an expert witness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field observations, inspections, data collection, interviews, and document assessments to identify the root cause of damage or failure.
  • Prepare comprehensive forensic investigation reports detailing your findings, tests conducted, and results obtained.
  • Review legal documents, pleadings, contracts, and other relevant materials to identify underlying issues and factual evidence.
  • Collaborate with the forensic team and technicians to determine repair directives and develop repair drawings.
  • Conduct research and develop technical topics for publication and presentation.
  • Engage in client-relations marketing and meet with and present to peers and clients.
  • Maintain high standards and ensure quality of deliverables and oversee.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • P.Eng license with good standing.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a forensic engineer.
  • Experience conducting damage assessments and forensic investigations.
  • Experience in engineering design or construction.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • A desire to learn, excel, and grow with us and within the profession.
