Financial Reporting and Analysis Professional

The Law Society of Alberta is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team in the Accounting department. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including financial statement preparation and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and strong analytical abilities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in financial reporting and accounting, preferably with experience working with Microsoft Dynamic Great Plains (GP2016) or Business Central.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our organization. We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including a salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to competitive pay, we also offer a flexible hybrid working environment, access to a free onsite gym and tenant lounge, and private reflection rooms for staff.

About the Role

  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Reconcile bank statements and other accounts
