Job Title: Senior Guidewire DeveloperJob Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Guidewire Developer to join our Software Engineering Group.

  • As a key member of our team, you will work with globally distributed teams, including business representatives, business analysts, architects, and engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement solutions.

  • This position reports to the AVP - Software Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review software requirements efficiently
  • Build architectural diagrams / design documents
  • Design screens, business rules, and workflow changes
  • Write programs, configure / package / deploy software
  • Establish and follow coding standards
  • Debug and unit test the code
  • Perform peer code reviews
  • Mentor junior resources
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5+ years proven experience in Guidewire Application Development
  • Integrating Guidewire PC / BC / CC / CM systems with downstream systems
  • Expertise in GOSU Language, configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and Guidewire predefined plugins
  • Read code in other languages and reverse engineer products
  • Agile software development, including the use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Domain knowledge on Property & Casualty Insurance
  • Other assets and nice to have:
  • Guidewire certifications
  • Core Java and Spring Boot
  • REST APIs, web services, and messaging
  • Database systems such as Oracle and Mongo
