We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at Southern Health-Santé Sud. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing social work services to residents and their families in our long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and residents to identify and address psycho-social needs. A strong understanding of social work principles and practices, as well as experience working in a long-term care setting, is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide social work services to residents and their families, including counseling, consultation, education, and advocacy
  • Identify concerns within the facility and work collaboratively with staff to implement appropriate interventions
  • Exercise independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods
  • Function in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Southern Health-Santé Sud

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Faculty of Social Work
  • Current registration with the Manitoba College of Social Workers
  • Previous experience as a Social Worker in a long-term care setting
  • Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team
