We have a national pharmacy team that operates coast-to-coast in various banners, including Sobeys, Safeway, Thrifty Foods, Foodland, Lawtons Drugs, and FreshCo.
About the Role:
As a Pharmaceutical Care Specialist, you will play a key role in providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations. You will be part of our pharmacy team that is committed to taking care of the health and well-being of individuals and families in our communities.
Your primary focus will be on demonstrating warmth, empathy, and compassion while achieving excellence in patient centered care, customer service, workflow efficiencies, corporate pharmacy programs, and contractual requirements of continuing care facilities based on corporate agreements.
You will be responsible for providing clinical services focused on continuing care contractual obligations, including disease state management, medication reviews, full scope of practice, reporting, and after-hours emergency service.
In addition, you will participate in professional programs and collaborate with colleagues to provide excellence in health & wellness services to all patients.
You will also initiate care plans, follow up, and complete proper documentation; identify actual and potential drug-related problems through completion of medication reviews; provide education to nursing staff; and participate on facility committees.
Furthermore, you will ensure prescription safety by prioritizing technical functions to Pharmacy Registered Technicians and Assistants as required; provide quarterly reports to facility administration; review all medication errors and complete audits (stat box supplies, antibiotic and antipsychotic use, and wound care).
It is essential to maintain current knowledge of pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements, and industry trends/developments; attend training as required; and adhere to all regulatory requirements, Company policies, processes, and procedures.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you must have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution and be a Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in the province of responsibility.

The estimated salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
