Hopewell Support Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization in providing exceptional services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to drive the organization's mission and goals.
    • Lead and mentor a team of senior management to ensure effective teamwork and professional growth.
  • Human Resources Planning and Management
    • Oversee all key people initiatives, including recruitment, retention, and coaching, to ensure a high level of performance and quality.
    • Develop and implement human resources policies, procedures, and practices, including job descriptions and performance evaluations.
    • Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to ensure the organization's financial stability.
  • Program and Service Delivery
    • Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services tailored to meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
    • Continuously assess and improve the quality and effectiveness of service delivery.
  • Community Engagement, Advocacy, and Communication
    • Act as the primary spokesperson for Hopewell Support Services, representing the organization to the public, stakeholders, and media.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, donors, and other key stakeholders.
    • Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with developmental disabilities at local, provincial, and national levels.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify and assess potential risks that could impact the organization, including financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks.
    • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, including establishing policies, procedures, and controls.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, social services, non-profit management, or a related field (Postgraduate education is preferred).
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of senior management experience in a non-profit organization, ideally within the developmental disabilities or human services sector.
    • Strong strategic planning, financial management, and organizational leadership skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of issues affecting individuals with developmental disabilities and related policy and advocacy.
    • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
    • Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and resource development.
