Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a qualified ECE Assistant to join our team at County Place Early Learning and Care Centre. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young children.

Job Summary:

The ECE Assistant will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes planning and implementing child-care programs, preparing snacks and arranging rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and observing children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Plan and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
  • Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Public transportation is available.
