Located on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Nursing Unit Assistant to join our team at qathet General Hospital.
About the PositionThis role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Nursing Unit Assistant, you will be responsible for performing various clerical and receptionist duties, ensuring seamless delivery of client care.
Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to coordinate client appointments and transportation
- Assist with data entry, record-keeping, and maintaining accurate patient charts
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff members
- Provide administrative support to the nursing team, including preparing reports and distributing documents
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, who can prioritize tasks efficiently and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. A Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, along with medical terminology and experience working in a healthcare setting, are essential requirements for this position.
