Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Study Assistant to join our NeuroRehab Science & Solutions Lab at the Lyndhurst Centre, TRI-UHN. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating efforts for an international project focusing on neurorehabilitation after spinal cord injury or disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with international collaborators, organizing meetings and ensuring timely progress.
  • Create data collection templates using Excel and update them as needed.
  • Perform literature searches and abstract data from relevant studies.
  • Conduct activities related to clinical trials, including identifying and screening potential subjects.
  • Obtain informed consent, conduct pre-testing, and administer questionnaires or other data collection tools.
  • Plan, implement, and coordinate all aspects of data collection and source documentation.
  • Execute study-related administrative tasks, collect regulatory documents, and prepare ethics submissions.
  • Conduct telephone and/or clinical recruitment interviews to collect data using established criteria.
  • Coordinate patient visits and ensure seamless data entry into the database.
  • Liaise with sponsors for monitoring/audits and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • A Community College diploma in a health-related discipline or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three (3) months of related work experience.
  • Prior research or clinical experience with study participants or patients with spinal cord injury or disease is an asset.
  • Excellent planning and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of research regulations and guidelines, including ICH/GCP.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a comprehensive compensation package, you will enjoy a wide range of benefits, including:
