About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Inout Design & Construction. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating custom-made cabinets that maximize storage and meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets, taking into account storage needs and design requirements.
  • Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
  • Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, reinforcing joints as needed.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, preparing and applying laminated plastics as required.
  • Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Estimate costs and materials, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products, as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, applying knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials.
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as saws and sanders, safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in woodworking or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, and other necessary tools and equipment.
