Job Title: School Counsellor

Regent Christian Academy is seeking a skilled and compassionate School Counsellor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the socio-emotional needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide proactive and reactive counselling services to students, addressing their socio-emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage parents, teachers, and students in a collaborative approach to student success.
  • Design and deliver content for school-wide student body, parent engagement, and teacher initiatives, showcasing creativity and innovation.
  • Embody the RCA culture and values, adhering to a Christian and Biblical worldview.
Requirements:
  • Masters Degree in Counselling or Social Work.
  • Registration with the BCACC or CCPA.
  • Prior experience working with youth and/or families is preferred.
Desirable Qualities:
  • A deep understanding of the Christian and Biblical worldview.
  • Strong relational skills, with a desire to connect with students.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, contributing to a progressive and creative school culture.
  • Excellent teaching skills, with a reputation for modelling servant leadership.
  • A friendly, even-tempered, and servant-hearted attitude towards staff, parents, and students.
  • Teachability, adaptability, and a quick learning ability.
