Job Title: School Counsellor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Counsellor to join our team at Regent Christian Academy. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing proactive and reactive counselling services to students, parents, and teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement counselling programs that promote student socio-emotional wellbeing
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student learning and development
  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students
  • Contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives that promote student wellbeing
  • Participate in staff training and professional development to enhance counselling skills

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Counselling or Social Work
  • Registration with the BCACC or CCPA
  • Prior experience working with youth and families
  • Strong understanding of Christian and Biblical worldviews
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
