We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team as a Portfolio Manager. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for independently managing a portfolio of clients, providing expert accounting services, and leading a small team of junior accountants.
Key Responsibilities- Review and sign off on company accounts, tax returns, and self-assessment tax returns
- Manage a portfolio of clients, providing expert accounting services and guidance
- Lead a small team of junior accountants, providing guidance and support
- Prepare and submit management accounts for a small subset of clients
- Review and sign off on VAT returns, support clients with registration, and identify VAT opportunities and risks
- Professional qualification in accounting (ACA or ACCA)
- 2-3 years' post-qualified experience in practice, with prior experience independently managing a portfolio
- Experience with Xero, TaxCalc, and Excel
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Competitive salary range of £35,000-£42,000
- Part-time options available for the right candidate
