Senior Accountant, Assurance and Accounting Expert

As a Senior Accountant in our Assurance and Accounting team, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive financial information to clients, enabling them to make informed decisions with confidence.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements with precision and attention to detail.
- Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files simultaneously, ensuring seamless inventory counts and financial management.
- Perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset acquisition, and disposition, as well as payroll walk-throughs with clients, providing expert guidance and support.
- Summarize clients' current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Assess and assure the appropriateness of audit evidence for expenses, revenues, capital asset additions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and prepaid expenses, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Review, investigate, and correct discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports, maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity.
- Establish charts of accounts and prepare entries for posting to accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries, and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts, and highlights, effectively communicating complex financial information to clients.
- Develop effective working relationships with clients, coaching and mentoring junior team members, and participating in business development initiatives to identify new opportunities.
- Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary, to support client needs and business growth.
- CPA designation.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant public accounting experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Experience working with accounting and tax software.
- Understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles.
