Job Description

As a key member of our Corporate Client Group, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and client satisfaction through expert-level corporate lending solutions. This exciting opportunity is focused on the Mid-Market Leverage & Infrastructure Finance team in Western Canada, with a mandate to deliver high-quality credit products to Private Equity owned/backed companies.

About the Role

This Director position will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth and expand our presence in the region. You will work closely with our Managing Director and Head of CCG Mid-Market Leverage & Infrastructure Finance to identify opportunities and develop relationships with key clients and partners.

Responsibilities
  • Originate, structure, deliver (pitch through deal close) and monitor syndicated and bilateral loan transactions under the direction of the Managing Director & Head CCG Mid-Market Leverage & Infrastructure Finance.
  • Support Relationship MDs and Relationship Bankers in the preparation and presentation of marketing pitches to existing and potential clients under direction of Managing Director & Head CCG Mid-Market Leverage & Infrastructure Finance.
  • Follow-up under direction of Managing Director & Head CCG Mid-Market Leverage & Infrastructure Finance for partnership opportunities with Private Banking, RBC Investments, Capital Markets, specialized teams in CFS (leasing, trade finance etc.), and Personal Banking.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • An Undergraduate degree with a focus in Business, Economics, Mathematics or other quantitative fields with credit knowledge and ability to manage complex concepts.
  • Proven work experience in corporate lending, finance and/or risk management with a familiarity with Leveraged Lending transactions and/or Private Equity firms.
  • Strong computer literacy with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel presentation skills.
  • Strong financial, credit and accounting skills.
  • Strong analytical, technical, written and communication skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
