Job Title: Digital Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team at The University of British Columbia. As a key member of our Communications and Marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing strategies to enhance the profile of the Faculty of Arts and engage with internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement digital marketing strategies to achieve the Faculty's strategic priorities.
  • Manage social media channels, including planning, producing, and scheduling content, growing and diversifying follower bases, and monitoring performance.
  • Collaborate with the Arts Communications team to create and integrate multi-channel campaigns and strategies, including paid advertising and promotion, retargeting, and other tactics as required.
  • Act as lead on analytics and reporting for Arts digital channels, measuring, testing, and optimizing performance to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and coordinate content for social media channels, email newsletter campaigns, websites, digital signage, and other channels as required.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum four years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Commitment to anti-racism and inclusive excellence, and ability to apply an intersectional anti-racist lens to communications projects.
  • Experience creating and delivering messages through various digital platforms, including social media, email, and web content management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment, with excellent communication and project management skills.
