Job Summary

Mattamy Homes is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee the construction of residential homes from start to finish. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all homes are built to the highest quality standards, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exemplary leadership and management to construction staff, including performance management, coaching, and training.
  • Ensure complete adherence to Mattamy's construction processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage the construction of assigned homes from start to finish, including scheduling, quality control, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and control costs, budgets, and schedules to ensure project profitability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, suppliers, and homeowners to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve construction problems and issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of construction processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in residential construction management, preferably in the new home industry.
  • Post-secondary education or community college in a related field, such as construction engineering technology.
  • Extensive knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other health and safety regulations.
  • Clear understanding of contracts, plans, and specifications, as well as construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office software and knowledge of ERP platforms, such as BuildPro.
