Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Counsellor-Continuing to join our team at School District #39 (Vancouver). The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to students, parents, and staff in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counselling services to students, addressing academic, social, and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student well-being, academic success, and social-emotional learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student learning and development.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in school counselling and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education or Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology or School Counselling.
  • Minimum 400 hours of supervised clinical practicum/internship experience.
  • Teaching experience at the elementary or secondary level is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of programs and services for families in the district and community.
