Job Summary

The Senior Culinary Team Member is responsible for preparing food products, maintaining all company standards, and adhering to safety and hygiene policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, pre-cook, and cook food products as directed
  • Prepare food, garnishes, sauces, dishes, cutlery, and other products for high-volume production
  • Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures
  • Receive stock from receiving operations, label, date, store, and rotate in appropriate storage areas
  • May serve staff meals in the staff cafeteria at some locations
  • May take orders over the counter at some locations
  • Count inventory as directed
  • Attend monthly culinary meetings
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with all operational departments
  • Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders: guests, owners, and team members
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma; Culinary education an asset
  • Minimum 6 months of culinary experience
  • Red Seal certification through ITA or current enrollment in the program an asset
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Ability to obtain a Gaming License
  • POS and cash handling experience (if necessary)
  • Effective communication skills to exceed internal and external customer expectations
Work Environment

This is a regular kitchen environment with standing and walking for long periods, major exposure to heat, cold, steam, noise, odors; lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, bending, some exposure to fumes, smoke, and chemicals, risk of minor cuts and burns.
