We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Consultant to join our team at Groupe Colas Quebec Inc - Ouest. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits to identify potential hazards and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management and employees to develop and implement health and safety programs.
- Monitor and report on health and safety metrics and trends.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety, industrial relations, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
