Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Pitalite Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service establishment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and implement efficient work schedules to meet the demands of our busy restaurant.
  • Requisition and manage food and kitchen supplies to maintain high standards of quality and freshness.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff, providing guidance and training on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we meet the needs of our customers.
  • Hire and train new staff members, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent service and maintain our high standards.
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights to inform our business decisions.
  • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, sales, and customer feedback, helping us to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with our chef to prepare food order summaries and ensure that our menu offerings meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service establishment, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
