Job Opportunity

FLINT Corp. is seeking a skilled Insulator to join our team for upcoming projects in Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements and select the type of insulation needed.
  • Measure and cut insulating material to required dimensions using hand and power tools.
  • Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation methods.
  • Fitting insulation around obstructions and between studs and joists.
  • Installation of vapour barriers.
  • Fabricate metal sheets and apply insulating materials to finish surfaces.

Requirements

  • Hold a Journeyperson or apprentice Certificate or proof of hours.
  • Have a valid up-to-date safety ticket for CSTS - 20.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, with the ability to efficiently perform intricate and precise actions.
  • Have a natural talent for understanding how mechanical systems work and how to operate and maintain machinery effectively.
  • Ability to read and understand complex instructions.
  • Ability to do careful and exacting work.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.

This position has been identified as a safety-sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
