About the Job
The Technician Trainee role is a developmental position that allows new employees to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in a professional shop environment. As a Technician Trainee, you will be assigned to a mentor and will receive training in various areas, including service island operations, vehicle fueling and washing, and environmental safety and spill response.
Responsibilities
- Perform multi-point inspections on inbound units to ensure they meet company standards.
- Record fuel activity and maintain proper fuel and DEF inventories and reconciliation.
- Wash and detail vehicles manually or using automated equipment.
- Fuel diesel, natural gas, and hybrid vehicles properly while adhering to all shop safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- No prior mechanical experience required, but one year of mechanical experience working with and maintaining primarily diesel engines is preferred.
- Valid Driver's license Class G2 or above required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates customer service skills.
- Possesses strong technical aptitude.
