The Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC - K03 is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Traffic Engineering team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions that manage and route web traffic to Amazon's websites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance software solutions that meet the scalability and security requirements of Amazon's websites
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain software code that is modular, reusable, and follows best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that all code meets the highest standards of quality and security
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless deployment and monitoring of software solutions

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
