Systems Engineering Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineering Specialist to join our team at Raytheon Canada Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing system engineering activities within an integrated product/project team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage system requirements for developmental systems involving multiple subcontractors.
- Generate systems engineering related documentation of legacy and newly developed products.
- Perform trade studies and make recommendations with respect to insertion of new technologies.
- Plan, execute, and document formal qualification tests.
- Estimate engineering effort required for specific tasks and projects.
- Ensure that systems engineering tasks are performed in accordance with Raytheon Canada Limited engineering policies and procedures.
- Support manufacturing for transition of products from development to production.
- Support business development regarding new system integration projects.
- Support existing programs to meet other customer requirements.
- Support other engineering staff with system engineering related technical issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Electrical, Computer, Systems Design, or equivalent.
- 5 - 9 years of experience in a systems engineering, integration or development environment.
- Experience with radar systems, Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems, and hardware and software integration programs would be an asset.
- Experience with Modeling and Simulation applications and architecture would be an asset.
- Must be eligible for professional registration (Professional Engineer) under the provincial Association of Professional Engineers in the province of practice.
- Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
