Job Title: Elementary Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our team at Anne Roberts Young Elementary School.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching elementary students and will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement engaging lesson plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach elementary students and develop lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a co-planning model and share resources in a learning pod
  • Use universal design and differentiation to meet the needs of students
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with academic, social, emotional, and learning difficulties
  • Work with educational assistants and other staff members to support student learning
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school improvement plan
Requirements
  • Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligible for)
  • Experience with co-planning and collaborative teaching models
  • Knowledge of universal design and differentiation principles
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a flexible learning space environment
