We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Classroom Teacher to join our team at HongDe Elementary School. As a BC Certified Not-For-Profit Kindergarten through Grade 5 Independent School, we offer a unique and immersive bilingual education experience.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is committed to delivering the B.C. curriculum in a student-centered, inquiry-based, and collaborative manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of First Nations principles of learning and be able to incorporate these into their practice.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the B.C. curriculum in a student-centered and inquiry-based manner
  • Develop and implement a Fine Arts program that complements our bilingual education approach
  • Embody the school's mission and vision statement in their daily practice
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Current Certificate of Qualification from the BC Teacher Certification Branch
  • Student-centered and inquiry-based teaching approach
  • Ability to incorporate First Nations principles of learning into practice
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
