Job Summary:
The DevOps/Release Manager role at CB Canada is a challenging opportunity for a passionate Salesforce professional to own the end-to-end deployment process from planning to implementation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technical solutions for improving the overall quality of product build, deployment, release, and monitoring with an emphasis on process adherence, team enablement, operational oversight, and support coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning and execution of deployment activities to ensure seamless delivery of products to the market.
- Design and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the development and deployment process.
- Design and implement tools required to facilitate the CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and effective deployment of products.
- Setup and manage development, UAT, staging, training, demo, and production environments to ensure smooth deployment of products.
- Ensure configuration, code, and data propagate to target environments in an orderly fashion, minimizing downtime and errors.
- Provide developer training to ensure consistency in deployment workflow, promoting best practices and standardization.
- Establish and govern the release process, including guidelines for all releases, to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support merge conflicts and clean-up source control in collaboration with the development team, ensuring version control integrity.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of Salesforce development experience, with a strong understanding of Salesforce deployment methodologies, including Change Sets, Metadata, Source, and Unit Tests.
- 5+ years' professional experience in Salesforce development as a Salesforce Release Manager, DevOps Engineer, or related role, with expertise in DevOps tools, such as Copado, Gearset, Flosum, Ant Migration tool, SFDX, etc.
- Expertise in Version Control systems, including GitHub and Azure DevOps, with a strong understanding of branching strategy, change control, and environment strategy.
- Extensive knowledge of challenging Salesforce deployment and version control topics, with the ability to apply this knowledge to drive process improvements and innovation.
- Knowledge and understanding of the latest trends in DevOps methodologies, processes, and tools, as well as emerging solutions and the ability to apply them when appropriate.
- 1+ Salesforce Certification, such as Administrator and Platform App Builder, with a strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and standards.
- Nice to have: 1+ Salesforce DevOps certifications, such as Certified Copado Administrator.
