Job Summary

Chariot Elevateur C. Roy Inc. is seeking a skilled Industrial Truck Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our industrial trucks and forklifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Maintenance: Adjust, repair, or replace electrical system parts to ensure proper function and safety.
  • Mechanical System Repair: Adjust, repair, or replace mechanical system parts to maintain equipment performance and prevent downtime.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Document inspections and tests made on engines to ensure accurate records and compliance with regulations.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and service tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure optimal performance.
  • Customer Communication: Advise customers on work performed and the condition of their equipment to ensure satisfaction and build trust.
  • Hoisting Mechanism Repair: Repair and rebuild hoisting mechanisms and other mechanical systems on industrial trucks and forklifts to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Equipment Testing: Test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and safety.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate work and prevent errors.
  • Physical Demands: Perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling, to maintain equipment and perform repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
Language and Work Conditions
  • Language: French.
  • Work Conditions: 40 hours per week, temporary position.
