Job Title: Printing Press Operator

Houghton Boston Printers & Lithographers is seeking a skilled Printing Press Operator to join our team. As a key member of our pressroom, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our high-speed printing presses, ensuring high-quality output and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain printing presses, including web presses and offset presses
  • Review job orders to determine production time, colour sequence, and quantities required
  • Advise press crew on product specifications or material requirements
  • Monitor regular press run for quality using computer control console
  • Remove and clean plates and cylinders at end of press run
  • Direct press crew to set up, operate, and shut down press
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in printing press operation
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing production schedules
