About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Printing Press Operator to join our team at Houghton Boston Printers & Lithographers. As a key member of our pressroom team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our offset presses to produce high-quality prints for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Press Operation: Safely and efficiently operate offset presses to produce prints, ensuring high-quality output and meeting production deadlines.
  • Press Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on presses, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Quality Control: Monitor print quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with pressroom team members to coordinate production, resolve issues, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase productivity and reduce waste.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience operating offset presses in a commercial printing environment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in printing or related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of offset press operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
