Job Title: Support Services Worker

At Alberta Health Services, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Support Services Worker to join our team. As a Support Services Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and disinfect patient and staff areas, including equipment, furniture, and surfaces
  • Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, including manual and power cleaning tools
  • Dispose of waste and recyclables in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner
  • Perform floor maintenance duties, including dry and wet mopping, floor scrubbing, and stripping and waxing
  • Ensure public and patient care areas have adequate supplies
  • Transport and arrange heavy furniture and equipment using dollies and carts
Requirements:
  • Grade 10 or equivalent education
  • Physically capable of walking and standing for extended periods and performing repetitive physical movements
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
  • Frequent physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, squatting, kneeling, standing, and walking
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of a basic housekeeping program
