Job Title: Wood Product Assembler

We are seeking a skilled Wood Product Assembler to join our team at Vanair Design. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets, ladders, and barrels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble wood products according to specifications and quality standards
  • Make minor adjustments and repairs to wood products
  • Read blueprints, written specifications, and production drawings
  • Pack items for shipping and distribution
  • Inspect wood products for conformance to quality standards
  • Mark defective parts or products for repair
  • Trim, smooth, and shape surfaces
  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Physical ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
  • Reliability and organizational skills
  • Team player with good communication skills
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment with dust and noise
  • Standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads
