About the Role

C.F.R Dorchester inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools and equipment to produce high-quality parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
  • Operate and maintain conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, including milling machines, lathes, and grinders.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to achieve precise tolerances.
  • Inspect and test parts and products to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications or tolerances.
  • Maintain accurate records of production and inspection activities.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of machining principles and practices.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
