C.F.R Dorchester inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools and equipment to produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and charts to ensure accurate production.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery/tools to meet quality and efficiency standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machine tools and equipment to prevent downtime.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances to ensure quality control.

As a Machinist Specialist at C.F.R Dorchester inc., you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of machine tools and equipment, including milling machines, shapers, surface grinders, and lathes. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with other team members to achieve production goals.

Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
