About the Role

We invite you to explore our well-established hospitalist program, which has undergone significant rejuvenation in recent years. Our innovative workload model ensures that our hospitalist physicians have consistently safe and manageable patient-to-physician ratios.

This transformation has had a profound impact on hospitalist satisfaction, allowing our team members to provide high-quality care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The opening of our brand-new state-of-the-art RCH hospital tower in late 2025 will further enhance our ability to deliver exceptional patient care.

About Our Team

We are committed to empowering our team members to thrive through leadership roles, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, and physician wellness. Our inter-professional team includes Nurse Practitioners and Allied Health staff, working together to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

What We're Looking For
  • Clinical Excellence: Proficiency in managing complex medical cases and patients requiring specialized care.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly with our inter-professional team.
  • Teaching and Leadership: A passion for education, committee involvement, and leadership development.
Eligibility

Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) and have either CCFP (or equivalent) or FRCPC credentials. Certification in ACLS is strongly suggested. Hospitalist experience and membership in professional Hospital Medicine societies are assets.

Compensation

The hourly rate is $200.10, with full-time work considered 1680 hours annually and part-time work considered a minimum of 840 hours respectively.
