About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Truck Technician to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions. As a key member of our vehicle maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the removal, replacement, and repair of major components under the direction of a lead technician or supervisor.
  • Perform minor component repairs or replacements, and assist with the adjustment and replacement of brakes, tightening of bolts and screws, and reassembly of equipment.
  • Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 1-2 years' practical experience with vehicle repair or truck repair preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an apprentice program.
  • Must maintain membership/registration with respective Government Agencies.
  • Working knowledge in the use of hand tools required.
  • Current driver's license class G or class 5 and the ability to obtain class DZ within 6 months of being hired required.
