Company Overview

The Inuit Art Foundation is a national organization committed to promoting Inuit artistic expression and increasing public awareness of Indigenous art. Our goal is to provide emerging and established artists with the tools and resources they need to succeed.

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic leader who can shape our vision and implement annual operational plans that align with our Strategic Plan. The successful candidate will have experience in team leadership, knowledge of the context we work within, and a deep understanding of Inuit culture and ways of being.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the arts and has a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, foster organizational sustainability, and champion the growth of artists.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a long-range strategy for achieving our mission
  • Provide leadership in developing program, organizational, and financial plans
  • Establish sound working relationships with community groups and organizations
  • Represent our programs and point of view to agencies, organizations, and the public
  • Maintain a climate that attracts, keeps, and motivates a diverse staff of top-quality people
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or certificate in Arts, Business/Public Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years' experience working in a similar role, preferably in an Indigenous organization or community
  • Experience in team leadership, project management, and financial planning
  • Strong written communication and editing skills
  • Professional, respectful, and effective communication skills
What We Offer

We offer a competitive compensation package with a salary range of $125,000-$150,000, depending on experience. This position also offers opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.
