Structural Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Structural Engineering team in Toronto.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of Structural Engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Act as a Project Manager on projects where structural engineers are prime consultants, providing direction and oversight.
  • Identify business development opportunities, lead proposal efforts, and complete project scoping and RFP assessments to procure new projects and clients.
  • Manage day-to-day client interactions, communicate effectively with clients and internal/external project teams, and continually seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction.
  • Manage project execution by providing direction to the project team, scheduling time, and acting as the main point of contact between internal and external project teams.
  • Manage project financials, including invoicing, progress payment certificates, collecting accounts receivables, and managing project budgets.
  • Oversee and develop detailed structural designs for various structural engineering projects, including commercial and industrial building structures, transportation facilities, and underground water retention structures.
  • Perform complex engineering calculations and designs based on engineering principles and technical skill, experience, innovation, and engineering judgment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with courses related to structural engineering.
  • Advanced understanding of concrete and steel codes, knowledge of finite element analysis, building structural design, and applicable regulations.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Experience with technical report writing.
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid 'G' driver's license for travel to project sites.
