We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Pathologist to join our team at Alberta Precision Laboratories Ltd. As a Medical Pathologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing diseases and physiological disorders, conducting medical research, and supervising laboratory activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders through microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods
  • Supervise laboratory activities, including training and supervising junior resident pathologists and morgue attendants
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
  • Assist with or perform autopsies and surgical specimen examinations under pathologists' supervision
  • Remove organs and tissue specimens from bodies in the morgue as directed by pathologists
  • Train and supervise resident pathologists and morgue attendants
Requirements
  • License to practice medicine in Canada
  • Specialty residency training in pathology
  • Experience in a medical pathology laboratory setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for extended periods and walking
