Network Administrator

Maintain and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment for MMR IT Services Inc.
Key Responsibilities- Network Administration: Coordinate access and use of computer networks, install software, and maintain, troubleshoot, and administer LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
- System Monitoring: Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade web server hardware and software.
- Security and Compliance: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures, and perform routine network start-up and close-down and maintain control records.
- Backup and Recovery: Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations, and set up local area networks and connections to the Internet.
- Web Server Management: Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance, and perform Web-server backup and recovery operations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in network administration.
- Skills: Development and operations (DevOps), Linux, networking software, networking security, intranet, servers, security software, mail server software, programming software, HTML editing software, website creation and management software, web service design, business diagram software, desktop publishing software, information technology, database software, programming languages, software development, MS Office, spreadsheet, Amazon Web Services (AWS), firewall.
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colours, sound discrimination, sitting, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
