Job Title: Plant Electrician - WPCP

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Electrician to join our team at the Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) in Thunder Bay. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and installing electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment used in the operation of wastewater treatment facilities and wastewater lift stations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, install, repair, maintain, connect, and test electrical fixtures, apparatus, control equipment, and wiring for systems of alarm, communication, light, heat, and power in buildings or other structures.
  • Purchase equipment, materials, and parts required and recommend spare parts for inventory.
  • Obtain proper electrical permits for any retrofits, repairs, or new construction.
  • Maintain and upgrade plant schematics, manuals, operating procedures, and narratives.
  • Install, program, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers and Graphics Packages.
  • Participate in the Plant's facility maintenance system and recommend changes or modifications to such systems.
Requirements:
  • Journeyman Electrician together with an Electronics Endorsement.
  • Fire Alarm Endorsement would be desirable.
  • Proven experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, SCADA systems, and knowledge of computer drafting software.
