Overview

We are seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join our dynamic team. Our professionals help clients manage risk, allowing them to focus on their core business. By intimately understanding each client's business, we convert information into insights to uncover hidden opportunities to improve client efficiency and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct detailed reviews of compilation and review engagement files, including notes to financial statements thereto.
  2. Review personal and corporate income tax returns.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with client management, becoming a primary relationship manager for certain clients.
  4. Schedule the team of accountants to provide services to a wide variety of clients.
  5. Coach, guide, and mentor staff and senior team members.

Requirements

  1. Must have a Canadian CPA designation or equivalent.
  2. 5-8+ years of professional accounting firm experience.
  3. Must have strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian corporate and personal tax.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to work both independently and provide supervision and guidance in a team environment.
  6. Demonstrated ability to leverage staff through effective delegation.
  7. History of delivering quality service and value to clients.
  8. Experience working with QBO or Xero considered an asset.
  9. Previous use of Taxprep, CaseView, and CaseWare programs preferred.
