Restaurant Shift Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Shift Manager to join our team at Fresh Market Restaurant. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food and service meet our high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish efficient work schedules to meet the demands of our busy restaurant.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain our high standards of quality and freshness.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements to ensure that we have everything we need to prepare meals.
- Hire and manage our food service staff to ensure that we have the right people in the right roles.
- Ensure quality control by monitoring food preparation and service to ensure that it meets our high standards.
- Prepare budgets and cost estimates to ensure that we are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Address customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to ensure that we are operating efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly and effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
