Overview

About the Role

We estimate the salary for this position to be approximately $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. This role requires excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, as well as a strong understanding of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen are set up and stocked according to standard operating systems and controls.
  • Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
  • Report to the kitchen manager and follow instructions to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dish area, adhering to all health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
  • Red Seal certification is an asset.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.
